Creative Writing

My course will resume again at Frodsham Community Centre, Frodsham, Cheshire, in September 2010. They will be on Thursdays at 1-3pm - starting date to be confirmed. This term we'll be reading letters, journals and diaries and using personal experience to write our own.

A WEA course. 

Bags from Rags and Carrier Bag Couture.

Make gorgeous and useful bags from left over fabrics. Use them, sell them or give them away as gifts. Some to use every day, others to stash in the bottom of your main bag to use when you need a carrier bag.

Suitable for adults with simple sewing skills.

Simple to sew bags can be arranged for male and female children

Day of Drama - schoolchildren

Involve an entire class in a day of drama and research, using a quilt as a prop.  Exciting jobs for everyone including script writing and development, casting, direction, acting and management. The end result is a unique play based on a syllabus subject. 

  • The Horse's Quilt - suitable for all ages to enhance study of the Victorian era.
  • On My Left Shoulder - suitable for year 6 and above to ehance study of the Holocaust. 
  • Tailor made workshops using textiles and text.

 

Teambuilding Day - adults

  • Work as a team.
  • Make creative decisions.
  • Find solutions.
  • Carry out tasks.
  • Negotiate to produce a wallhanging  and decide its outcome.

Max 12 people. 

Feltmaking - Primary School Children.

  • Make felt then decide what to create with it.
  • Develop stories.
  • Have fun.
